Affirm is a credit card alternative that helps you break your purchase down into manageable payments via instant financing. With Affirm, you can buy and receive your purchase now, and pay for it in fixed monthly installments over the course of three, six, twelve, twenty-four, or thirty six months.

Once you have an eligible amount in your cart - $250 or more - you will be given the option to apply for Affirm. Enter your shipping information as you normally would, and on the “Payments” screen, select Affirm. You’ll then be taken to Affirm’s website to apply for financing and, upon approval, will be directed back to Alen for confirmation of your order.

Affirm will ask for your name, email, mobile phone number, birthday, and the last 4 digits of your social security number. This information will help Affirm verify and protect your identity.

Yes. When you first create an Affirm account, Affirm performs a “soft” credit check to determine your eligibility for financing. Checking eligibility will not impact credit. If you decide to pay with installments through Affirm, your payments may be reported to credit bureaus.

Anyone with an order of $250 or more is eligible to apply for an Affirm loan. Unfortunately, Affirm is available only to shoppers residing in the United States at this time. Affirm hopes to expand its services to customers outside the U.S. in the future. If you don’t have an extensive credit history, you may still qualify for an Affirm loan; Affirm bases its loan decision on several data points that include your credit score.

Affirm tries hard to approve every purchase but sometimes can't approve the full amount. When this happens, Affirm provides a debit card down payment option so that you may still complete your purchase right away.

Affirm sometimes needs more information about your financial situation to evaluate your loan application. They may ask you to link your online checking account, which helps determine your ability to repay a loan. If you are prompted to link your checking account and would like to continue with the application process, you may link your account by providing the login information for your online bank account. Affirm does not store your online banking login information - they simply pass your login credentials to your bank via a secure service linking your checking account. Linking your checking account DOES NOT authorize Affirm to debit your account. It only allows them to determine your ability to pay.

You can pay your Affirm bills online at www.affirm.com/pay. They accept payment by debit card, bank transfer, and check. Affirm will send you email and SMS reminders in advance of your upcoming payment. You can also enable “Autopay” to schedule automatic monthly payments on your loan. Your first monthly payment will be due 30 days from the date The Trailer Parts Outlet processes your order.

If you’ve been paying in monthly installments and want to process a refund, you will receive the total that you’ve paid so far back from Affirm, minus Affirm fees, issued to the bank account or debit card that you used to make payments. All future payments will be canceled. You should see a refund credit within 3 to 10 business days, depending on your bank’s processing time.

Unfortunately, you cannot edit your order after you have confirmed your loan. If you would like to add items to your purchase, you can apply for another loan with Affirm or use a different payment method.
